The Spin

Pro-Trump narrative

There's only one man who represents a true opposition to America's arrogant and decadent ruling class, and that man is Donald Trump. For all his flaws, Trump is the only candidate who represents the will of the people and deserves to reclaim his position atop the GOP. There's no Trumpism without Trump, and abandoning him will only lead to the weak Republican status quo seen for decades.

Republican narrative

Gov. DeSantis is the future of the Republican Party and should clearly be the GOP’s nominee in 2024. While Trump has intense support from his base, he's very unpopular with independent voters and will likely cost Republicans the White House again if he’s the nominee. DeSantis has universal appeal and is the clear choice for 2024.

Democratic narrative

With Trump refusing to give up his stranglehold on the GOP, conservatives are unlikely to get what they want. DeSantis may have dominated in his Red state, but his lack of experience dealing with a conniving political opponent such as the former president will undoubtedly break his glass jaw, paving the way to a GOP civil war and a blue wave in the 2024 presidential election.

Nerd narrative

There's a 43% chance that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for the 2024 US Presidential Election, according to the Metaculus prediction community.
