The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), established in 1993, aims to promote and protect human rights globally, coordinating activities across the UN system. Headed by the high commissioner for Human Rights, it addresses violations, fosters cooperation, and provides education and technical assistance.
