A magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck off the northern coast of Flores Island in Indonesia's East Nusa Tenggara province on Saturday. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) recorded a shallow depth of about 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) and an epicenter roughly 68 kilometers (42.2 miles) north-northwest of Ende.
