Thirteen political parties or coalitions have registered presidential tickets for Brazil's 2026 election, which is scheduled to be held on Oct. 4. If no candidate secures an outright majority of valid votes nationwide in the first round, the two most-voted contenders advance to a second round set to take place on Oct. 25. The winner will hold the country's top office for a four-year term.
