Brett Kavanaugh

Brett Kavanaugh is an American lawyer and jurist serving as an Associate Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court since October 6, 2018, appointed by President Donald Trump. Prior to the Supreme Court, he was a judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, served in the George W. Bush administration as Staff Secretary, and worked on the Starr investigation—known for his textualist and originalist philosophy and for being a pivotal swing vote on key decisions involving executive power, abortion, and gun rights.
