David Olusoga is a British-Nigerian historian, broadcaster, and BAFTA-winning filmmaker who serves as Professor of Public History at the University of Manchester. Born in Lagos and raised in Britain, he began his TV career at the BBC in 1999 and has become a leading voice in bringing Black British history and the legacy of empire to mainstream audiences. A regular contributor to The Guardian and the New Statesman, he has produced numerous acclaimed documentary series exploring overlooked chapters of British history.
