Valérie Pécresse

Valérie Pécresse is a French conservative politician who served as President of the Île-de-France regional council from 2015 to 2021 and was the 2022 French presidential candidate for The Republicans party. She previously held ministerial positions under President Nicolas Sarkozy, including Minister of Higher Education and Research and Minister of the Budget.
