In a 278-page report issued Tuesday, Amnesty International said Israel's policies and practices against Palestinians amount to apartheid.
The human rights group cited seizures of Palestinian land and property, unlawful killings, drastic movement restrictions and the denial of nationality and citizenship as components of the cime.
This is a welcome step in seeking to end the decades-long oppression and discrimination of Palestinians, which they claimed amounted to apartheid long ago. The move will strengthen Palestinian's hand in seeking political solutions and prosecutions at the International Criminal Court.
Amnesty has deeply damaged its credibility in producing this ahistorical report, which is devoid of context and repeats lies peddled by anti-semites seeking to deprive Jews of a nation-state. Its biased and agenda-driven conclusions should be ignored.
