Twitter has locked the account of the Babylon Bee, a Christian satire site, after it named US Assistant Sec. for Health, Dr. Rachel Levine, "Man of the Year" for 2022.
The account has been temporarily banned for "hateful conduct," as Levine is a transgender woman.
This is just the latest example of Twitter attacking conservatives with its anti-free speech policies. The Babylon Bee is a satire site that makes light of the absurdity of modern times, and they shouldn't be censored for it.
As a private company, Twitter has every right to ban hateful rhetoric from its platform. The post clearly falls within this realm, as it was intentionally mocking and provocative. Twitter's response was measured and reasonable.
