China Reasserts Cooperation with Russia

    • Chinese Pres. Xi Jinping reaffirmed his support for the Kremlin in a phone call with Vladimir Putin on Wed., committing himself to "mutual support with Russia" on key issues including "sovereignty and security."

    • According to the Kremlin, Xi further remarked on the "legitimacy" of actions taken by Moscow in pursuit of its national interests, which he reportedly argued had been prompted by external forces.
