Florida to Recommend Against COVID Vaccine for Healthy Children
The Facts
Dr. Joseph Ladapo, Florida's Surgeon General, announced on Monday that the state will recommend against COVID vaccines for healthy children, making it the first state to do so.
The move goes against CDC recommendations that children five and over get vaccinated.

Left narrative
This is an exercise in political theater to appeal to Florida's conservative base, and only puts children and families in unnecessary danger. Children can still catch and spread COVID, and there's no reason not to vaccinate them other than manufactured outrage.
Right narrative
This is the right step in pushing back against the insanity that has become a hallmark of this pandemic. Less than 1000 children nationwide have died over the course of the pandemic, and almost all of them had pre-existing conditions. There's no good reason to vaccinate healthy children, and Florida has made a brave decision.
