‘The next Texas’: Abortion rights advocates condemn Idaho bill to ban procedure after six weeks

On Wed., Idaho Gov. Brad Little signed into law a bill banning abortions after 6 weeks of pregnancy.
The bill mirrors the recently enacted Texas "heartbeat" law, and marks Idaho as the first state to follow in its shoes.
It's appalling that Idaho would look at the harm inflicted in Texas and attempt to duplicate it. This is a travesty that not only infringes on women's rights, but also disproportionately affects underprivilleged groups without the economic means to access abortions elsewhere.
It's the state's responsibility to advocate for the rights of unborn babies.This bill is a step in the right direction and will prevent the wanton destruction of human life.
