US Senate candidate Abby Finkenauer will be allowed to appear on the Democratic primary ballot, the Iowa Supreme Court ruled Fri.
This overturns a previous ruling by a lower court earlier this week, when a district court judge ruled that Finkenauer failed to qualify by not obtaining enough valid signatures.

Democratic narrative
The process of democracy has been restored. The lower court ruling was misguided and almost gave an unfair gift to the Republicans. Iowans clearly want Finkenauer on the ballot, and their voices should be heard.
Republican narrative
A year ago, Finkenauer would have remained off the ballot without question. This ruling just shows that the previously held guidelines have been thrown by the wayside. The Republicans followed the rules; why should there be exceptions for the Democrats?
