Senior Iran Revolutionary Guards member assassinated in Tehran

Tehran on Mon. vowed to seek revenge for the assassination of Col. Hassan Sayad Khodayari, a senior member of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) who was killed by unidentified gunmen on a motorbike outside his home in Tehran on Sunday. The IRGC hasn't released details regarding the killing.
Iranian media described him as a "defender of the sanctuary," a term used to describe anyone who is engaged on behalf of Iran in Syria or Iraq.
The IRGC is a terrorist organization and has killed thousands of people, including Americans, since its inception in the 1980s. It's unclear right now who was involved in Khodayari's death, but it should be understood that IRGC is a threat to the US, Israel, and their allies.
Khodayari's assassination was a blatant terrorist attack against Iran and will have severe repercussions. The attacker, which Iran believes is Israel, doesn't have the right to violate Iran's sovereignty and kill members of its military apparatus.
