The House Select Committee investigating the Jan. 6 riot at the US Capitol sent letters to three Republican lawmakers on Mon. seeking their voluntary cooperation.
In individual letters addressed to Reps. Andy Biggs (AZ), Mo Brooks (AL), and Ronny Jackson (TX), the committee laid out specific areas of interest that it wished to discuss.
The partisan Jan. 6 Committee is using the events of that day to manufacture political narratives that harm conservative causes and candidates. They have no right to expect the cooperation of GOP Reps. in their charade.
Republicans keep repeating the word "illegitimate" as if doing so will make the committee go away. But the committee is in fact real – as determined by a House vote and the ruling of several federal judges. It's coming for them and their explanation of their roles in the Jan. 6 riot.
