Marjorie Taylor Greene Cleared To Seek Reelection

On Fri., a GA ruled that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is qualified to run for reelection, concluding that a group of voters who had challenged her eligibility failed to prove she engaged in insurrection after taking office.
GA Sec. of State Brad Raffensperger accepted the judge's recommendation on the same day, sealing Greene's ability to remain on the ballot.
The decision to allow Greene to run for Congress represents a risk to free elections because it accepts violence as a political tool. She should have made ineligible under 14th Amendment's Insurrectionist Disqualification Clause as she voluntarily assisted Jan. 6 rioters to oppose the transfer of power.
Polls indicate that Democrats are headed for disaster in the midterms, so naturally they are pulling out all the stops, including using Jan. 6 to target Republicans. The judge made the right decision after all, but he should have thrown out the lawsuit from the start.
