Actor Matthew McConaughey joined the White House briefing room on Tues. to pay tribute to the victims of the school shooting in his hometown Uvalde, TX, calling on Congress to enact gun legislation.
In a 22-minute emotional speech he detailed the stories of the 21 victims. McConaughey and his wife went to the city shortly after the gunfire, and spent most of last week with those directly affected by the attack.
McConaughey - another celebrity loved by America - seemed like the perfect fit to do the White House's political bidding. His thoughts on guns were nothing more than echos of Democrat talking points that will sacrifice the rights of law-abiding citizens to an admin that has failed on every issue imaginable.
McConaughey isn't anti-gun ownership; he's rightly calling for gun responsibility. The status quo on gun regulation is untenable and now is the ultimate moment to implement legislation that will bring a stop to the continuous tragedies.
