    The Facts

    • Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) has faced heavy criticism-- including from Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney in the GOP--for speaking at the America First Political Action Conference in FL on Friday.

    • The conference was hosted as an alternative to the Conservative Political Action Committee (CPAC), and organized by Nick Fuentes.

    The Spin

    Democratic narrative

In any other time, a sitting member of Congress who spoke at a white supremacist conference where attendees defended Putin and praised Hitler would face expulsion. Greene advocates violence and is antisemitic. The GOP enables her and are complicit.

    Conservative narrative

There's zero excuse for Greene's actions and House GOP leaders must condemn her. The Republican Party risks losing all credibility in standing up to Radical Left Democrats if we don't condemn our own extremists.

    Narrative C

The GOP has always been a "big tent" party and by appearing at the event, Greene was simply trying to channel the boisterious energy of an important segment of young conservatives--people whose voices are too often silenced by the mainstream conservative movement.
