The Republican National Committee is considering banning Republican presidential nominees from participating in presidential debates organized by the Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD).
The move comes after the RNC proposed a series of reforms to the CPD, which has overseen all general election presidential debates since 1988.
The CPD has a history of selecting left-leaning debate moderators and allowing them to interrupt Republican presidential candidates at will. They refuse to enact needed reforms to ensure fair and equal treatment to candidates.
The RNC is falling in line with former president Trump, adopting his false allegations against the CPD and further eroding American's trust in the possibility of bipartisan institutions of any kind.
