    The Facts

    • An ABC News report has revealed that the Secret Service is spending more than $30k per month on a Malibu mansion being used as a command house to protect Pres. Biden's son Hunter Biden.

    • The property is nearby Hunter Biden's own rented mansion which costs around $20K per month.

    The Spin

    Right narrative

Although the Secret Service is required by law to protect Hunter Biden, it is not required to spend an exorbitant amount of tax dollars to do so. The agency is going beyond its duties to accommodate Mr. Biden, especially in comparison with its protection of Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner which cost just $3K per month.

    Pro-establishment narrative

The Secret Service renting the closest property to a protectee is nothing new and Hunter Biden is far from the first presidential protectee to live in an expensive location. While $30k per month sounds costly, it is only a fraction of the price spent to protect the former president's children.
