Radical Abortion Up Until Birth Bill Defeated in Senate, Thanks to Filibuster and Joe Manchin

The Women's Health Protection Act has failed to pass through the Senate, losing 46-48 and falling way shy of the 60-vote threshold needed to defeat a filibuster.
The bill aimed to preserve access to abortion in the States and was a direct response to Texas laws enabling private citizens to bring civil suits against anyone assisting a pregnant woman seeking an abortion.
The bill was a product of extreme far-left narratives and it attempts to undermine virtually every pro-life law at state level. Its rejection by the Senate was necessary to protect unborn children from unrestricted abortion, and achieved by Republicans united by anti-abortion policies.
The rejection of the bill will have aggressively detrimental effects on abortion legislation such as Roe v. Wade, potentially undermining decades of fighting for and maintaining abortion rights in the US. Abortion is a fundamental right and access shouldn't be decided by extreme-right legislatures.
According to the Metaculus Prediction Community there is a 67% chance the Supreme Court will overturn Roe v. Wade before 2023.
