Several of the supposed violations are common practice and no one has faced disciplinary action for them before now. Starbucks is enforcing these policies selectively to target unionizing workers - something they have already been disciplined for.
This has nothing to do with the unionization efforts. There is security footage of the workers violating several basic health and safety policies. Similar violations have led to tragic consequences in the past, and the company must protect its employees and customers.
