‘Wildly hot’ Gulf of Mexico waters could fuel rapid intensification of Hurricane Idalia

The Facts
On Wednesday morning, Hurricane Idalia made landfall in Florida's Big Bend as a Category 3 cyclone after briefly reaching a Category 4 in the overnight hours. Later in the day, the storm settled into a Category 1 as it reached southeastern Georgia.
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), the storm saw winds of up to 125 mph — the strongest hurricane the Gulf Coast has seen in over 125 years.

Climate alarmism must be taken with a grain of salt.
