Duffy brings valuable public service experience as a former congressman and district attorney, with proven leadership skills and an understanding of fiscal responsibility and rural development needs. Bipartisan relationships built from his time in Congress will be crucial for maintaining and rebuilding national infrastructure while fixing the broken transport system.
Democratic narrative
Despite Duffy's prior record in Congress, the Fox host has no relevant experience in the department he may shortly find himself in charge of. Trump's fixation on nominating conservative media ideologues who lack any prior management track records is likely to blow up in the face of the incoming administration at the detriment of the American people.
