Conservatives are reasonable in bringing up Jake Tapper's own record, covering Biden's fitness for office during the tail end of his administration, especially as Tapper had defended Biden on a number of occasions. However, Tapper was one of the few in the media willing to stick his neck out and ask the question when the decline appeared to be progressing in an important historical moment.
Right narrative
It was glaringly obvious to everyone except those in the Democratic Party that Biden was no longer capable of being president. The next lie Democrats are telling themselves is that had he dropped out sooner, Kamala Harris would have won the race. Donald Trump would have won whoever he was up against.
