The Spin

Narrative A

Bridgewater may have been well-intentioned, but rules exist for important reasons and must be followed consistently. The FHSAA regulates impermissible benefits in order to maintain fairness across all programs and prevent wealthy individuals from gaining competitive advantages. Bridgewater should have worked within proper channels to provide his players with benefits.

Narrative B

This injustice must be rectified. Bridgewater's actions didn't give his team a competitive advantage, they just gave his players the tools to make their futures better. Transportation can be a hindrance toward the valuable ability to compete in youth sports. Rules like this should be reserved for those who cheat, steal, or act against the best interest of their players.
