After years of justified self-defense, Israel must show greater restraint in Gaza. Recognizing Palestine is morally right, but premature amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis. Hamas' toxic ideology must be eradicated, necessitating Israel's temporary occupation of Gaza to ensure peace. At the same time, a timely, conditions-based path to statehood will secure Palestinian self-determination and Israel's safety.
Israel yearns for a safe Palestine, but this cannot happen overnight. Hamas' ideology of hatred and violence must be eradicated first. To ensure a prosperous future, Israel must temporarily occupy Gaza to dismantle Hamas' influence and restore moral governance. While aid distribution is obviously helpful, Gazans will never be free from their leaders' grip until Hamas is totally gone.
Western calls for Palestinian statehood are empty platitudes as Israel pursues its Greater Israel vision, annexing Gaza, the West Bank and beyond. The U.S. and Europe, complicit in 22 months of genocide, feign outrage only now as Netanyahu's occupation reveals their hypocrisy. Threats of recognition are meaningless. Real aid demands arms embargoes, not vague promises, while Israel erases Palestine.
