The Spin

Republican narrative

President Trump has proudly endorsed Lindsey Graham for reelection, praising his hard work for the people of South Carolina and for advancing his administration's agenda in the Senate. Graham has always been there whenever the president needed him, and he is the only MAGA-approved candidate in this contest.

Conservative narrative

That Trump endorsed Graham for reelection is due to his own particular reasons, not politics. After all, the longtime senator has a proven record of siding with the deep state — especially regarding amnesty for illegal migrants and foreign wars. Dans is the only candidate willing to drain the swamp.

Democratic narrative

Another primary civil war has broken out in the Republican Party, now in South Carolina. Their base will have to choose between two bad options — to prove that they have no critical thinking and will vote even on someone they hate as long as Trump endorses him, or to undermine Trump's leadership in the party.
