The Spin

Establishment-critical narrative

Microsoft's Azure cloud service became an enabler of mass surveillance, storing intelligence data on Palestinians while the company's usage spiked 155% during the genocide. Tech giants knowingly transformed their platforms into instruments of oppression, trading human dignity for lucrative deals — this is moral bankruptcy disguised as business neutrality.

Pro-establishment narrative

Microsoft conducted thorough reviews, finding no evidence that its cloud services harmed Palestinians. Nevertheless, it's just as absurd to hold tech companies responsible for customer actions as it would be to blame telephone companies for criminal conversations. Demanding impossible moral guardianship isn't the answer here.
