The Spin

Left narrative

This case represents a clear victory for free speech and private property rights. Meta, as a private company, has every right to moderate content on its own platform without government interference. The courts correctly recognized that complaining lawmakers don't transform private companies into state actors, and Section 230 protects platforms' ability to make editorial decisions.

Right narrative

The Supreme Court's refusal to hear this case ignores the obvious collusion between Big Tech and government officials to silence dissenting voices on vaccine safety. Meta worked hand in glove with federal health authorities to censor legitimate scientific debate and promote government-sponsored misinformation during the pandemic. This outsourcing of censorship violates fundamental democratic principles.
