The Spin

Left narrative

Whether this minor pulled the trigger or not, he is actually another victim of a sick society that pushes children and teenagers to illegal activities, including drug trafficking and contract killings, as criminal organizations all too often fill a vacuum left by the government. It's about time for Colombia to act protect and rehabilitate its kids, and prevent similar incidents.

Right narrative

As usual, the left wants to romanticize a criminal. Regardless of age, it's a matter of fact that this teenager chose to be a criminal. He learned how to use weapons, how to fire them and how to kill people, and he was the one who pulled the trigger to assassinate Sen. Uribe. But that should not come as a surprise, especially as the president himself threatens those who dare to defend the country.
