    The Spin

    Republican narrative

The Democratic lawmakers who made the video are actively undermining military command structure by encouraging troops to disobey what are actually lawful orders from their Commander-in-Chief. Trump is right to call out this seditious conspiracy, which is a direct attack on constitutional authority and military discipline and is at the very least punishable by an investigation and charges of the highest order.

    Democratic narrative

Trump's comments amount to death threats against Congress members, who simply reminded military personnel of their constitutional oath. These lawmakers restated existing law about refusing illegal orders while Trump deploys troops domestically. Calls from the president, or anyone in power, for executing elected officials must be condemned.
