5 Teens Killed in Northern Ireland Motorway Crash

Did the M9 crash expose a failure of government investment in road safety or a justice system that punishes gardaí over criminals?

The Spin

Narrative A

Justice with teeth is the need of the hour; harsher sentences for those who steal, evade and endanger, real penalties for social media platforms glorifying illegal acts, and laws that finally punish criminals harder than the officers trying to stop them. Until these changes are made, nothing will change.

Narrative B

What this tragedy truly demands isn't more paperwork but properly trained Gardaí. Rigorous pursuit training is needed to protect the public. Give officers real skills and the confidence to act, and fewer families will lose their children on Britain's roads.
