Version 7.17.1
Haiti's collapse is a humanitarian emergency demanding immediate global action. Gangs control 90% of Port-au-Prince, 1.5 million people are displaced, and rape and hunger are used as weapons of terror. However, Haiti's humanitarian response plan remains the least funded in the world at under 10%. The crisis spills beyond borders through arms and drug trafficking and mass refugee flows. History proves collapsed states destabilize entire regions. Political will, funding and international resolve must translate into concrete action before the window to save Haiti closes entirely.
Haiti is enduring a civil war fueled by two centuries of foreign meddling. Unelected leaders installed with U.S. backing lack legitimacy, while armed resistance movements are dismissed as mere gangs. Occupation forces have brought cholera, massacres and impunity, instead of security. Prisons hold thousands without trial in inhuman conditions, and sanctions target Haitian people while foreign powers evade repaying extorted reparations. Real solutions demand an end to imperialist intervention and support for Haitians rebuilding their own political future without foreign occupation.
