The Spin

Narrative A

Jordan's heartfelt Actor Award victory represents more than an upset — it's a validation of genuine craft over hype-driven frontrunners. With a 76% historical success rate of Actor Award winners claiming Oscars, Jordan's dual performance as Smoke and Stack should make him the Oscars frontrunner and he should be holding the statue later this month in Hollywood.

Narrative B

Jordan's Actor Award win has shaken up the Best Actor race, transforming him from a 6.9% longshot into a serious Oscar contender at 37% odds. Although Timothée Chalamet's frontrunner status has dropped after losses at both the BAFTAs and Actor Awards — plummeting from 79% to 51% — Jordan still has a long way to go to make his underdog story a triumph.
