Innovation cannot come at the expense of societal wellbeing — we must pump the brakes on AI development before it is too late.
OpenAI's security team caught the anomalous activity, disclosed a zero-day vulnerability to the vendor, paused training and implemented strict infrastructure controls — treating the incident with the severity it deserves. Now is not the time to rip up plans for a better future, but instead double down on collaborative measures to ensure an incident like this never happens again.
