Version 7.18.2
Serious charges deserve serious proof, and all that's on offer is slogans, press conferences and a march staged for cameras. Calling the election chief honest after wins and corrupt after losses says more about the losers than about the rules. Courts weigh evidence, and nobody should swallow a conspiracy just because a mic was handy.
Cleaning up voter lists shouldn't mean knocking millions of legitimate voters off the rolls, and demanding answers about that is basic citizenship. Barricades, beatings and detentions aimed at students make the case for the protesters better than any speech could. A democracy confident in its own rolls wouldn't need to drag young people onto buses.
