Is this a great way to honor Trump or should the Navy preserve Doris Miller's historic legacy?

This would be a natural and deserving honor for Trump. Republicans in Congress are already rightfully pushing to rename many things in Trump's honor, recognizing his leadership as transformative. The greatest naval vessel in American history should carry the name of a president who defined an era.
Anti-Trump narrative
Renaming this aircraft carrier to honor Trump would erase a legacy earned in blood at Pearl Harbor, not at a campaign rally. No carrier has ever been named for a sitting president, making this a break from tradition driven purely by ego. Doris Miller's Navy Cross represents real sacrifice, and that honor deserves to stand.
