Trump Unveils $200B South Korean Investment in US Projects

- U.S. President Donald Trump announced Wednesday that South Korea will invest "200 Billion Dollars of new Investments in AMERICA!," including eight large nuclear power plants, a "6.4-gigawatt Natural Gas Fired Power Project" in Texas and a liquefied natural gas (LNG) pipeline in Alaska.
- Alaska Sen. Dan Sullivan said the 807-mile Alaska pipeline, "the biggest LNG project in our country," would carry gas from the North Slope to a liquefaction plant and create 12,000 construction jobs.
- Meanwhile, South Korea's industry ministry said Thursday it would begin reviewing the $54 billion Alaska LNG project to assess commercial viability and legal compliance, stating that "no decision has been made on whether to invest or on the size of the investment."
