The Spin

Right narrative

Taxpayer money is funding guidance that tells Welsh nursery workers to call the police on toddlers for racist incidents — and that's a grotesque misuse of public resources. In 2023, 90 percent of all crimes went unsolved, so diverting officers to police the speech of diaper-wearing kids is indefensible. Slapping adult ideological frameworks onto children who can't tie their shoes is a bureaucratic overreach dressed up as virtue.

Left narrative

Race and racism are real forces shaping children's lives from the earliest ages, and building racial literacy in young people is essential groundwork for a just society. Britain's own history — from the Bristol Bus Boycott to Rock Against Racism — proves that confronting prejudice early and openly is what drives genuine progress. Equipping educators with anti-racist tools isn't overreach, but exactly the kind of solidarity that has always moved society forward.
