North Korea revealed a new ‘tactical nuclear attack’ submarine,as Kim Jong Un reportedly agreed to meet with Russia's Vladimir Putin to discuss weapons,the UK moved to declare Russia's Wagner Group a terrorist organization,and Cuba unveiled an alleged trafficking ring to recruit Russian fighters.Meanwhile, the US accused several Chinese nationals of "gate-crashing" its military facilities,Washington agreed to send an additional $160M in humanitarian aid to Sudan,Pakistan alleged that US weapons left in Afghanistan had reached the hands of terrorists,and France reportedly considered partially withdrawing its forces from Niger.In other news, over 60 were killed in twin attacks on a passenger boat in Mali,the main border crossing between Afghanistan and Pakistan was closed,clashes continued in eastern Syria,and two Palestinian factions clashed in a Lebanese refugee camp.

Russia-Ukraine

On Monday, Russia launched a wave of drone strikes on one of Ukraine's largest grain ports - hours before Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to discuss the collapsed Black Sea grain deal.Moscow's assaults continued on Wednesday, as it struck a market in the Donetsk city of Kostlantynivka.This coincided with US Sec. of State Antony Blinken's trip to Kyiv,where he announced a $1B aid package that includes controversial uranium rounds.The announcement was followed by a Saturday report speculating that the US is also considering sending long-range Army Tactical Missile Systems.Meanwhile, Elon Musk came under fire for allegedly stifling a Ukrainian attack on Crimea by disabling SpaceX's Starlink as the operation was underway.

World Politics

US Pres. Joe Biden and Indian PM Narendra Modi met ahead of the G20 Summit,which began on Saturday,the Association of Southeast Asian Nations Summit kicked off,and Palestine set its terms for a potential Saudi-Israeli deal.Meanwhile, Canada launched a public inquiry into foreign interference,Brazilian Pres. Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva announced a cabinet reshuffle,former Mexico City Mayor Claudia Sheinbaum was named the ruling Morena party's candidate,and Vanuatu's parliament elected Sato Kilman as its new prime minister.In other news, Malaysia dropped its corruption case against Deputy PM Ahmad Zahid Hamidi,the US acknowledged that it seized an Iranian oil tanker in April,and Washington sought details on the chips in Huawei's new smartphone.
