Russia-Ukraine

On Monday, the New York Times published an investigation claiming evidence "strongly suggests" Ukraine was behind a Sept. 6 attack on the Donetsk city of Kostiantynivka - a strike Ukrainian Pres. Volodymyr Zelenskyy had blamed on Russia.On Tuesday, Zelenskyy spoke at the UN General Assembly, which saw him accuse Russia of committing genocide and of "kidnapping" tens of thousands of children.His speech came the same day that 48 children from the Donbas region - which Russia claimed to have annexed last year - reportedly arrived in Belarus, with Western media linking it to allegations that Minsk had forcibly removed over 2K children from Ukraine.Meanwhile, amid a growing dispute over Ukrainian grain imports, Poland said on Wednesday that it would stop sending weapons to its neighbor.Zelenskyy challenged the decision and, without directly naming Warsaw, accused "some in Europe" of playing "political theater."Elsewhere, Ukraine attacked Russia's Black Sea fleet headquarters in the Crimean port of Sevastopol on Friday.

World Politics

The UN's annual General Assembly began,the US and China launched two economic working groups,Saudi Arabia said it's moving closer to normalizing relations with Israel,and the US and Iran completed a prisoner swap.Meanwhile, India and Canada clashed over the murder of a Sikh activist,China allegedly barred three Indian athletes from its Hangzhou Asian Games,Japan called on China to remove a buoy in its exclusive economic zone (EEZ),and the Philippines accused China of damaging the coral reefs in its EEZ.In other news, Chinese tech giant Huawei allegedly circumvented US export controls,the UK charged five Bulgarians with spying for Russia,and Italy passed stricter measures to deter migrant arrivals.

US Politics

The government prepared for a shutdown amid GOP opposition to its spending bill,Hunter Biden sued the Internal Revenue Serviceas he prepared to plead not guilty to three federal gun charges,Sen. Bob Menendez and his wife were indicted on bribery charges,and Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton was acquitted.Meanwhile, Attorney General Merrick Garland testified before the House Judiciary Committee,former Oath Keepers member Ray Epps was charged for his involvement in the Jan. 6 riots,Donald Trump Jr.'s X account was hacked,and Pres.
