U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced a new savings initiative for children called Trump accounts, which provides every child born between Jan. 1, 2025, and Dec. 31, 2028, with a one-time $1,000 government deposit at birth as part of the One Big Beautiful Bill Act signed into law on July 4.
