Michael Studeman is a retired rear admiral in the United States Navy, who served as the director of the National Maritime Intelligence-Integration Office and commander of the Office of Naval Intelligence from August 2022 to July 2023. He previously held the position of Director of Intelligence for the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command from 2019 to 2022 and has extensive experience in military intelligence, including a focus on China's maritime activities. Studeman graduated from the College of William & Mary and earned a master's degree in national security affairs from the Naval Postgraduate School, where he wrote his thesis on China's advances in the South China Sea.
