Jim Lobe is an American journalist and foreign-policy analyst who has served as Washington Bureau Chief for Inter Press Service from 1980–85 and 1989–2015, and later founded and directed LobeLog, a widely respected blog focusing on U.S. foreign policy, particularly in the Middle East. Under his leadership, LobeLog earned the prestigious Arthur Ross Media Award from the American Academy of Diplomacy in 2015 for its distinguished reporting and analysis.
