Mauritania
The U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) reported Tuesday that 144 refugees and migrants were dead or missing following maritime incidents off Mauritania between July 14 and 18, with three rescue operations during that period bringing 387 people safely ashore in Nouadhibou.
