Atlantic Council

The Atlantic Council is an American international affairs think tank founded in 1961. The institute promotes Atlanticism, an ideology which advocates a close alliance between nations in Northern America and in Europe on political, economic, and defense issues. Since its inception, the Atlantic Council has had numerous notable directors including Henry Kissinger and Philip Breedlove.
