Radley Balko is an American journalist and author known for his work on criminal justice, the drug war, and civil liberties. He has written for The Washington Post, Reason magazine, and the Cato Institute, and is the author of Rise of the Warrior Cop: The Militarization of America's Police Forces. In 2022, he began publishing his work on Substack.
