ACT for America is a Washington, D.C.-based grassroots advocacy organization founded in 2007 by Lebanese-American author Brigitte Gabriel, focused on issues of national security, immigration, and opposition to what it describes as radical Islam and sharia law. The organization claims over 1,000 chapters and millions of members, making it one of the largest self-described national security grassroots groups in the United States, though it has been designated a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center and the Anti-Defamation League.
