Ali al-Zaïdi

Ali al-Zaidi is an Iraqi businessman and politician who became prime minister in May 2026. Backed by the Shiite-led Coordination Framework, he advocates Iraqi sovereignty, regional cooperation and stronger state control over armed groups while maintaining pragmatic relations with Western and regional powers.
